A ring itinerary that, among beautiful landscapes, connects three religious monuments of great artistic and symbolic value. The monumental complex of Sacro Monte of Ossuccio is opposite to the only island of the lake, the Comacina Island, and is located along a path about one kilometer long. It consists of 14 beautiful chapels, from which the Lake is always visible. It was built in the seventeenth century and is registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The ancient monastery of St. Benedict, now abandoned and reachable only by foot, in the middle of an undeveloped valley, is a place of mystery and intense spirituality. Completed around 1090 and abandoned in 1298, this monument now isolated for centuries has lost its original political and economic function but its secret charm is still quite alive. The Acquafredda Abbey, a major center of local spirituality, with his poignant views of the lake. Along the route, we will deliver our picnic basket with local and healthy products.

Difficulty:the route is mainly on mountain trails. Some inclines. Suitable for hikers with good training.
