The Carnival, which takes place on the juxtaposition of two main masks, Bello e Brutto, the Bello and the Ugly, tells us about the eternal class challenge between “simple and rich men”. The mask of the beautiful is elegant while the mask of the Ugly looks much more grotesque. Some of the masks date back almost two hundred years. You will learn with us to know the origins, roles and meanings of this unique event, having also the rare opportunity to meet the local artisans in the day of the Carnival. In fact, the day includes a meeting with still active masks producers. An opportunity to understand, from those who model them according to ancient traditions, the techniques of realization and deeper meanings of these masks.
