If you reach Como by train, in a single day you will be using four slow means of transportation: train, cable car, boat, and …. your legs! Our guide is waiting for you in front of Tempio Voltiano. Walking along the lakefront we will know each other, we begin to see the beauties of Como and reach the station of funicular to Brunate, to easily reach this beautiful balcony on the city. We have some trivia to tell you about Como and the surrounding mountains, which can be understood and appreciated only from here. Then, by walking between mountain landscapes and forests, we will cross the Mountains of Blevio, Sorto and Cazzannoro and we will arrive at Mount Piatto. Here, from the church of St. Elizabeth, the view is amazing and, nearby, you will experience one of the strangest places along the Lake: the so called Pietra Pendula, a large erratic boulder which seems so precariously leaning on another smaller stone. We will continue towards the small village of Piazzaga, in whose surroundings you will discover the mysterious massi avelli (stone tombs). We will then descend to the picturesque village of Torno, overlooking the lake, and then back to Como by boat.
